Ms. Ng Sze Yen serves as the Alternate Director to Dato’ Lau Chee Kheong, Deputy Group Chief Operations Officer of UWC, bringing a wealth of expertise and leadership to the company.Ms. Ng holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn, obtained in 2006. She has also earned certifications as a Certified Innovation Professional (CIP) and Certified Innovation Manager from the Global Innovation Management Institute. In 2024, she further advanced her professional qualifications by completing a Mini Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Ms. Ng began her career at UWC Holdings Sdn. Bhd. as a Project Engineer in 2006, demonstrating exceptional technical and managerial capabilities. She progressed to Senior Engineer in 2009 and subsequently to Assistant Business Development Manager in 2010. Her strategic vision and strong leadership led to her appointment as Business Development
Manager in 2011, a role she held for seven years. In 2018, Ms. Ng joined UWC Berhad as Head of Operations, overseeing critical operational processes and driving efficiency. She was promoted to General Manager in 2020 and, on January 3, 2025, was elevated to her current role as Deputy Group Chief Operations Officer, where she plays a pivotal role in steering the company’s operational and strategic initiatives.

Ms. Ng is the niece of Dato’ Ng Chai Eng, the Executive Director/Group CEO and a major shareholder of UWC. She does not hold directorships in other publicly listed companies. With her comprehensive industry knowledge, proven track record in leadership, and commitment to driving innovation, Ms. Ng continues to contribute significantly to UWC’s sustained growth and operational excellence.
