Independent Non-Executive Director

Dato’ Seri Lee Teong Li is an Independent Non-Executive Director of UWC, recognised for his strategic leadership and deep expertise in the manufacturing and engineering sectors. With a strong academic foundation from The SANNO Institute of Management in Japan and the City & Guilds of London Institute, he brings a global perspective shaped by more than four decades of senior management experience. Since joining the Board on 31 July 2025, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening UWC’s governance through his leadership as Chairman of the Nomination Committee and Remuneration Committee, and his contributions as a member of the Audit Committee and Risk Management Committee.

Dato’ Seri Lee’s career spans key executive roles in prominent multinational and local corporations, where he led high-performance teams, drove operational excellence, and spearheaded regional manufacturing strategies. He currently serves as the Regional General Manager of Amphenol TCS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., and actively contributes to Malaysia’s industrial development as the Chairman of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Penang Branch, alongside his directorship at Amphenol TCS (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.

He maintains full independence in his role, with no family ties to any director or major shareholder and no conflict of interest with the company. He has also not been subject to any convictions or regulatory sanctions in the past five years.
